oman Apprehended for Theft of Sarees at IITF Pragati Maidan

New Delhi :-  IITF Pragati Maidan, Delhi Police apprehended one woman, namely Neeta Sangani, in connection with theft of sarees including a pink saree worth ₹45,000 from Parvej Ahmad's stall inside the
ongoing International Trade Fair at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The incident came to light when stall owner raised an alarm after noticing suspicious activity. Acting swiftly on the complaint, police personnel
deployed at the venue intercepted the accused mentioned above and conducted a thorough search of her belongings recovering 7 sarees and 1 suit from her possession. Three other stall owners - Giram Taleb Kabir, Muzakkir Amir Giram, and Atiqur Rahman - also identified their stolen sarees among the recovered items. The immediate and coordinated response ensured that the accused was caught red-handed reinforcing the strong security arrangements maintained by Delhi Police. 
The accused was caught red-handed while stealing a pink saree  worth 45,000 from the stall of Sh. Parvej Ahmad. Upon checking her bags, police recovered 7 sarees and 1 suit, including the stolen pink saree.
During verification, three other stall owners - Sh. Giram Taleb Kabir (Hall No. 5, Stall No. 11-C), Sh. Muzakkir Amir Giram (Hall No. 5, Stall Scanned with CamScanner No. 5C), and Sh. Atiqur Rahman (Hall No. 5, Stall No. 22J) - identified  their stolen sarees among the recovered articles. Police Action Taken The accused failed to produce any bills or satisfactory explanation for possession of the recovered items.
Accordingly, an FIR No. 4/25 u/s 303(2)/317(2) BNS has been  registered at PS IITF Pragati Maidan. Investigation is ongoing to ascertain her involvement in other incidents and to trace possible accomplices.
Accused arrested Neeta Sangani W/o Jayesh Sangaw, R/o Gujarat Vihar, Vikas Marg, Delhi.
